Zurich Airport Lounges: SWISS, Aspire, Primeclass, Emirates and marhaba, Dock by Dock, and the 2027 Move
Zurich has more lounge space per passenger than most hubs because SWISS runs its whole network through it, and the map is simple once you know the docks: Schengen lounges in Dock A, non-Schengen lounges in Dock E, one pay-in lounge in the Airside Center between them. What changes in 2026 and 2027 is the Dock A end, as SWISS moves its Business and Senator lounges to a new building beside Dock B ahead of the Dock A rebuild. This is the map in late 2026, with hours, access and showers.
Dock A, Schengen
SWISS Business Lounge A, open 5:30 am to 10:00 pm, is the big one for SWISS, Lufthansa Group and Star Alliance business-class passengers and Star Alliance Gold members flying within Schengen, with a buffet, a bar, showers and a terrace in summer. The SWISS Senator Lounge A serves Senator and HON Circle members and First Class passengers, and the SWISS First Lounge A is for First Class ticket holders and HON Circle. The small Alpine Lounge nearby is used for overflow. There is no independent or Priority Pass lounge in Dock A. SWISS has confirmed that in the first quarter of 2027 it opens two new Business and Senator lounges of 2,600 sq m in a new building on the south side of Dock B, 20 percent larger than today’s, and closes the Dock A Business, Senator and Alpine lounges at the same time; check the SWISS site the week you fly.
Dock E, non-Schengen
Through passport control and three minutes on the Skymetro, Dock E holds the long-haul lounges. SWISS Business Lounge E and Senator Lounge E are open from the first long-haul departures to the last, roughly 5:30 am to 10:30 pm, with showers, à la carte dining in the Senator lounge and a smokers’ terrace; the SWISS First Lounge E adds a restaurant and day rooms for First Class passengers. The Aspire Lounge, above gate E52 on the third floor, is open 5:15 am to 9:00 pm daily and takes Priority Pass, DragonPass, LoungeKey, business-class passengers of several carriers and paid walk-ins, with showers and a bar. The Primeclass Lounge, Skytrax five-star, takes the same passes plus oneworld Sapphire and SkyTeam Elite Plus members and sells access online, with showers, a buffet and a quiet zone. The Emirates Lounge is for Emirates Business and First passengers and Skywards Gold and Platinum members, with showers and a dining room.
The Airside Center, both sides
The marhaba Lounge, run by dnata in the Airside Center since 2022, is the one lounge any passenger can reach without choosing a dock: it seats about 50, sells walk-in access by the hour, takes Priority Pass, DragonPass and bank-card programmes, and serves hot food and drinks. It is the lounge for Schengen economy passengers with a pass, since Dock A has none, and for anyone with a long gap who has not yet cleared exit passport control.
When no lounge fits
Economy passengers without a pass have the Transit Hotel at the D gates, which sells showers and loungers by the hour (day rooms guide), the Airside Center’s restaurants and bars, which close by 10:00 pm, and landside the hotel bars a covered walk away: the Wine Tower Bar at the Radisson Blu to midnight, Bar Iris at the Hyatt Regency and the 24-hour ZOOM Bar at the Hyatt Place. The Capsule Hotel’s bistro opposite Check-in 1 opens at 5:00 am.
Access by card
Priority Pass, DragonPass and LoungeKey work at Aspire, Primeclass and marhaba. Mastercard and Visa premium programmes and the Swiss bank cards that bundle lounge access use the same three. Airline lounges admit by cabin and status only, with SWISS selling paid access to its Business lounges for its own and Lufthansa Group passengers. Hours shift with the seasonal schedule and the 2027 move, so the SWISS site and the Priority Pass app are the sources to check the week you fly; the connecting guide explains which dock your onward flight uses.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Zurich Airport lounges take Priority Pass?
The Aspire Lounge and the Primeclass Lounge in Dock E, for non-Schengen departures, and the marhaba Lounge in the Airside Center, which any passenger can reach; the same three take DragonPass and most premium bank cards. There is no Priority Pass lounge in Dock A, so Schengen passengers use marhaba.
Where are the SWISS lounges?
In Dock A for Schengen flights (Business, Senator and First Class lounges, from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm) and in Dock E for long-haul and other non-Schengen flights (Business, Senator and the First Lounge). In the first quarter of 2027 SWISS opens new Business and Senator lounges in a building beside Dock B and closes the Dock A ones.
Can I pay to enter a lounge?
Yes. The marhaba Lounge sells walk-in access, the Aspire and Primeclass lounges sell it online and at the door, and SWISS sells access to its Business lounges to passengers on SWISS and Lufthansa Group flights.
Which lounges have showers?
The SWISS lounges in both docks, the Aspire Lounge, the Primeclass Lounge and the Emirates Lounge. Outside the lounges, the Transit Hotel at the D gates sells showers by the hour and the Capsule Hotel landside includes them in a day pass.
