Radisson Blu Hotel Zurich Airport is the hotel inside the airport fence: 330 rooms and suites on Rondellstrasse, 250 metres from check-in with a covered walkway straight from the terminal and the airport railway station, with the Filini Italian restaurant, the Wine Tower Bar, 52 meeting rooms, a fitness centre and a business centre. It is Switzerland’s largest conference hotel and the one Zurich Airport hotel where a 6 am flight means a 5:15 am alarm rather than a shuttle.
Rooms
The 330 rooms run from Standard, Superior and Premium Rooms at 28 sq m through the 38 sq m Family Room to the 56 sq m Suite and the 90 sq m Presidential Suite; Family Stay and Friends and Family Stay bookings pair two connecting 28 sq m rooms. All have triple-glazed windows (the apron is outside), a rain shower, a flat-screen TV with mirror casting, a mini bar, free Wi-Fi, a safe and a magnifying mirror, and the higher floors look over the taxiways on one side and Kloten on the other.

Breakfast and dining
Filini is the Italian restaurant off the atrium: breakfast buffet from 6:30 am to 10:00 am on weekdays and 6:30 am to 11:00 am at weekends, lunch on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, dinner from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm with the kitchen closing at 10:00 pm. A Grab and Go breakfast bag is available when the buffet opens too late for your flight.
The Wine Tower Bar is built around a 16-metre glass tower holding more than 4,000 bottles of wine and champagne, fetched by acrobats on wires; it serves coffee, beer, cocktails and small plates from 10:00 am on weekdays and 11:00 am at weekends until midnight, with the kitchen open from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Room service is delivered by Jeeves, the hotel’s robot.
Facilities and services
The business centre has 52 meeting rooms for conferences of up to 550 people and receptions of up to 600, which makes the hotel Switzerland’s biggest congress venue. The fitness centre is open to all guests, cots are available on request, and luggage storage, laundry and a 24-hour front desk complete the list.
Check-in is at 3:00 pm and check-out at 12:00 pm. Pets are accepted at CHF 30 per pet per night. The indoor car park has 40 spaces at CHF 35 per night, with the first two hours free for visitors and CHF 8 an hour after that.
Location and transport
The hotel is 250 metres from check-in, joined to the terminal by its own covered walkway and signposted from the arrivals level. The airport railway station under Check-in 3 is on the same walk, with trains to Zürich Hauptbahnhof every 10 minutes taking 10 to 12 minutes (CHF 7.20), and the tram and bus station outside The Circle is five minutes away; our getting into Zurich guide covers them all.
